My name is Tecla Trossel Hover. I am the part time English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at CHS. I feel very fortunate to be in this position because I know how difficult it is to learn other languages. I was born in the Netherlands, and my native language is Dutch. I met my American husband in Amsterdam, and English was the language we communicated in. I went to the University of Amsterdam and got my degree in Teaching ESL. My husband and I lived, studied and worked in many different countries, like Japan, China, and Korea. Even our two children were born in foreign countries, and had to learn languages other than English. It is very exciting to learn English, and I will be there for the international students to help them to succeed socially and academically.
