Blue Demon Wrestlers Win Third Straight AA Championship - Five Individual Championships Produced

The Christiansburg Blue Demon Wrestling team won their third consecutive Group AA state title while five wrestlers won individual state championships. Senior B.J. Compton (135) won his fourth individual title. He is only the fourth Group AA wrestler in Virginia to win four titles. Compton's previous titles were at 103, 112, and 119. Senior Jackie Toney (160) won his third title, Sophomore Matt Epperly (140) won his second title, while Senior Robert Buck (145) and Freshman Cody Gardner (215) each won their first individual titles. Second place title holders included Junior Matt Stump (130) and Sophomore Andrew Hoffer (152). Junior Nick Buck (189) placed third and Senior Andrew Gusler (125) placed fourth. Congratulations to all!!
