Sgt. Kenneth B. Gibson died from wounds suffered on Sunday, August 10th, 2008 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position in Tarmiya, Iraq. Sgt. Gibson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
